First Face International in multiple dualities
The West African modelling agencies’ Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Lamrana Jalloh told Sierra Express Entertainment desk that, his agency, First Face International is all set this year for real events as they have lined up the Mr. Golden Africa – handsome contest, the Miss West African beauty pageantries and a grand launch of the Leone Celebrity Magazine.
Lamrana said he won the contract to stage the Miss West African International 2012 edition and the event is scheduled to take place, on December 22 later this year in Ghana.
Ahead of preparations, Lamrana said Sierra Leone who excelled in the Gambia last year as second runners up are doing everything possible to step ahead this time for the crown.
Stella Bangura got the crown in the West African contest as second runner up in the Gambia, having won the national crown in a fiercely contested competition at home in Freetown.
The fact that a Sierra Leonean modelling agency is the one to have won the hosting rights means keen eyes are going to be placed on the West African country and the CEO said he is exercising restrained not to side his home country.
Time table of events is already published as we see March 30 this year as the date set aside for auditioning of candidates for the Miss West Africa beauty pageant of Sierra Leone who should qualify in the group stages to contest for the international crown. This event is going to be marked in May 12, this year .
On Mr. Golden Africa which is going to be hosted in Banjul, Gambia’s capital city on November 24, Lamrana Jalloh said the event has been slit in phases and the Sierra Leonean version is coming up on June 30 at the prestigious Family Kingdom, Aberdeen West of Freetown.
Lamrana said the idea of organizing the West African Golden boys contest was hatched from the last contest First Face International held in Freetown at the Alafia Beach garden. He said the Ghanaian seminar injected fresh ideas into the concept and this coming international edition is set to be a regional contest with similar criteria as those of the Miss West Africa beauty pageantries.
On the Sierra Leone Celebrity Magazine, CEO Lamrana Jalloh said it is a quarterly periodical magazine with a wider variety of content ranging from personal lifestyles of people especially artists and celebrities, fashion, culture, business arts life and more. He said the magazine is incorporated as a Public Relations arm of the agency to showcase a thorough insight of issues that cut across society.
