He expressed appreciation over the fact that President Koroma made it a possibility for Koidu Holdings to include schools as part of their corporate social responsibilities to fulfill.

He furthered that the community and Koidu Holdings are having an improved relationship.

Saquee said Koidu Holdings did not stop their social corporate responsibilities at just building schools but had gone further to sponsor the Diamond Stars, a team based in Kono District.  Saquee paid a glowing tribute that their sponsorship has placed the team in contention as they are now able to defeat bigger teams from Freetown citing the FC Johansen game which played on the 23rd of this month as an example.

The Kono District Council Chairman, Madam Diana Konomanyi said, in terms of corporate social responsibilities, she counts Koidu Holdings as the best in the District.  The United Methodist Church family was excited over the gesture.

Ibrahim Sorie said Koidu Holdings are also going to provide a student bus to ease the transportation burden on pupils and students of that region. He said Koidu Holdings has spent $200 million in expansion projects and in trying to provide school learning materials and equipments to ensure what he called a real development phase in Kono.

The Bishop of the United Methodist Church John .K. Yambasu said if he should rate Koidu Holdings, he would grade them excellent.  He pleaded with Koidu Holdings to provide them a generator to enable their evening classes.

The Bishop called on the students to increase their level of seriousness in pursuing their various studies so that they can be able to boost Kono in the future.
