VOY-SL to organize political parties gala
Voice of the Youth organization in Sierra Leone will commence a week long political parties’ peace football competition at the Brima Atouga mini Stadium east of Freetown on April 5, this year.
The ruling All People’s Congress Party are drawn in group A with the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party, the National Democratic Alliance and the Citizens Democratic Party. Group B comprises of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change, the United Democratic Movement, the United National People’s Party and the Revolutionary United Front Party.
According to the Country Director of Voice of the Youths in Sierra Leone, Philip Hartling, the political parties have all agreed to partake in the competition and it is a delighting affair.
The opening matches feature the ruling All Peoples Congress Party with their opposition counterparts the Sierra Leone People’s Party at 3:00 pm prompt.
Philip Hartling said they desire to consolidate the peace the country is currently enjoying. He assures all of adequate security throughout the competition. The grand finale is slated for April 11.
