Judo team off to Guinea

Sierra Leone’s judo team has departed for Conakry where they will encounter their Guinean counterparts in preparation for the Morocco Judo Championship this April.

The initial plan is to engage the Guinean side in a trial for the Olympic qualifying encounter.   The current purpose now is to train alongside our Guinean counterparts in Conakry.

Six national judokas including a coach will likely make the trip to Guinea today where they will spend a week experimenting with diverse ideas in judo while creating useful links vital to the development of our country’s judo team.
