“Wife isn’t a caring mother” Pastor Mahoi tells court

At the Sierra Leone high court, and as he testifies in a divorce case, Reverend Abdul Mahoi revealed his wife isn’t a caring mother.

He said his wife Mrs. Iye Mahoi has practically not been rendering any services to him.

In a confident, but serious mood, the man of God told the court that he has called for a divorce because his wife has not met up his expectations.  That she has not been doing the domestic works at all. He however told the court that his wife was practically not doing anything in the home; ‘will not cook, launder or even make love with me,’ he said.

It is fact that there was misunderstanding between Reverend Mahoi and wife Mrs. Iye Mahoi on grounds depicting allegations that he was in ‘extra marital’ relationship with one Madam Yakoi.

Yakoi, our findings revealed, used to be a foster daughter to the Mahoi’s family and was also a member of the Temple of Truth church; a congregation owned and headed by the Reverend himself.

Disclosures are that Reverend Mahoi, who doubles as head pastor at the Temple of Truth church, was once asked by elders of his church to give up his suspected relationship with Yakoi, but allegedly pig-headedly refused.

Assessment interviews with senior clergies of society have it that the action of Reverend Mahoi (his filing for divorce to the court) contradicts the good books and hence a violation to the Christian faith.

It is expected that the prosecution will re-examine the man of God when the case resumes Monday 27th to clear ambiguities during cross examination.
