A new political party is born – CDA
A new political party, ‘Citizens Democratic Party’ (CDP) Wednesday 12th received a certificate from the Political Party Registration Commission (PPRC) authorizing them to operate fully as a political party.
As he handed over the certificate, the Commissioner of PPRC Samuel Ademusun said that he was happy presenting the final certificate of acknowledgement to the Chairman of the newly born political party.
After his presentation of the certificate, he advised the executive and membership of the party to always be law abiding statesmen.
He also admonished them to follow the rules and regulations of the constitution, adding they must avoid violence as they carry out their political duties.
The CDP interim Secretary General said the party was registered on 18thAugust 2011, and on 31st December was confirmed and finally this 12th day of January received the certificate that allows them to operate as a political party just like any other party.
He said there will be a massive education for the youth as the November 17th elections draw closer.
That the youth will be sensitized on the unlawful use of drugs as a means to wreak havoc.
He promised if his party wins the 2012 elections there will be an unfettered access to justice and human rights.
The party Chairman, Joshua Albert Carew said he wants to lead this Sierra Leone to change.
He assured all that if his party wins the 2012 Presidential elections he will not follow the footsteps of other political parties, but work for the development of Sierra Leone as country.
“We have gold and diamonds but yet we are a poor nation, why?”
He said he will not tolerate corruption if he happens to win, and will introduce a National Acceptance Card (NAC).
