AWOL Honours President Koroma

FREETOWN, SIERRA LEONE; All Works of Life (AWOL) has last Friday 30^th December 2011, honoured His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma with an award for the manner of leadership he has manifested since he assumed office as Head of State of Sierra Leone.

In the citation of the award committee, the first gentleman has demonstrated leadership dynamism, political tolerance, the restoration of social services such as energy, free health care, the consolidation of peace and security.

It also added that President Koroma also met the conditions set for the award especially in nurturing and sustaining democracy, roads and other infrastructural development, the implementation of the Open Government Initiative, the granting of autonomy to the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Cooperation, women’s empowerment and national development as a whole.

The out gone chairman of AWOL Hon. Chernoh Maju Bah in his statement said his organization is a non-political and non-profit making. He said the award ceremony has become an important event on the national calendar as it brings hope to all Sierra Leoneans.

AWOL, according to Hon. Bah, continues to add its quota to the developmental trend in Sierra Leone and that the organization has always maintained traditions that have held the country together. He therefore shared AWOL’s dream with Sierra Leoneans; “We want to see action and a great transformation with new attitudes”, he said.
