Billiongate… ACC to Investigate Musa Tarawally
Reports reaching this press state that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Tarawally (in photo) may possibly face the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to explain how the sum of Le1,000,000,000 meant for the rehabilitation of Lungi police barracks was appropriated.
Facts have it blatant that Musa Tarawally (then Sierra Leone People’s Party Member of Parliament) was awarded the contract to rehabilitate and construct quarters at the Lungi police barracks during periods of governance of opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) then in governance.
A state house source has told this medium that Musa Tarawally will also have to account for another Le10,000,000 reportedly given him by government to cause the transformation of Kamajors into a civil society organization in the southern region even as he serves as Resident Minister south.
The source further said however that management of ACC is putting in place evidential materials to be used against the Internal Affairs Minister during their investigation and/or when he would have possibly been charged.
