Butchered victim reveals ordeal

Survivor of carnivorous attacks, Ibrahim Bangura, 42, has revealed how his half nephew, Alhaji Mansaray bit and chewed his lower lip.

His in–law, Tamu Mansaray, currently on the run, he says, bit his left thumb and his sister Kadiatu Bangura his back.

Three hired thugs from Patton Street and Kissy road accompliced his beating, he says.

A source closer to the two families say there was intra family feud between the Bangura and Mansaray families in the morning of November 26 this year.

Argument surrounding the saga, we are told, was a seated grudge over legal ownership rights of a house at No 20 Mayenkineh Road Calaba Town, east of Freetown.

“Alhaji Mansaray insulted my daughter Haja Fatmata Bangura, but I urged her to keep her cool over the issue. Few minutes later, he (Alhaji Mansaray) came to our apartment and assaulted my daughter. I was left without option but intervened,” he explains.

“To my surprise, a group of persons including my –in –law Tamu Mansaray, his wife Kadiatu Bangura –our sister came scolding me from my back and on my side.

Tamu bites my left thumb and his wife my back. As I scream in pain, Alhaji Mansaray took the advantage to also bite my lower lip off.”

Clinical findings indicate that the 42 year old sustained human bites on his lower lip, left thumb and back and complained general body pain.

Haja Bangura, age 16, on the other hand sustained cane marks on her scapula left arm and neck and also complains general body pain.

The matter is currently being investigated at the K-Step Police Station. The complainants are reportedly issued with police medical forms and warned to go for treatments at the Connaught hospital.

“Following this trend of attacks,” Mr. Bangura said, “the alleged hired thugs from Kissy Road and Patton Streets went and destroyed their house at No 20 Mayenkineh Road Calaba Town.”

Meanwhile, the Police are investigating both matters.
