Balogun ‘Logus’ Koroma appointed National Coordinator for the APC 2012 elections campaign in Sierra Leone

The President of  Sierra Leone, who is also leader of the All Peoples Congress party, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma, has made one of the finest appointments in the political calendar of the ruling party.  He has named Balogun ‘Logus’ Koroma as the new National Coordinator of the APC 2012 elections campaign.  This appointment is not only a clear manifestation of the confidence the party leader has in Logus, but it also indicates the seriousness the Head of State attaches to the electioneering campaign for the 2012 polls.  Balogun ‘Logus’ Koroma brings to his new office an outstanding career that spans over 30 years in politics, most recently serving as a cabinet minister and the national coordinator of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Secretariat; and an impeccable public service record that has showcased the amazing capabilities of this fine public servant.  (Photo:  Balogun ‘Logus’ Koroma – Outstanding public servant )

By appointing Logus, President Koroma has expressed his intentions to fulfil his country’s international obligations to ensure a free and fair election.  This move reveals that the president does not intend to be complacent and has no intentions to influence the outcome of the polls.  It is indeed a smart move that will send shock waves up the spine of the opposition   The party leader has appointed a man who has the propensity to deliver results. A man who has shown he is a people’s man. A mixer, who has what it takes to engage communities and promote the interest of the party.  A man whose loyalty to the presidency and party has been unquestionable, as he has been at the heart of every political victory the APC has clinched in recent years.
