The vivacious Sierra Leonean Gospel singer and founder of the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians (SLAAM) will be making history as the first Sierra Leonean Gospel artist to garner such a massive media exposure when she sings in front of millions of American TV viewers in her debut appearance at the widely acclaimed “Bobby Jones Gospel” show, a show that has consistently ranked within the “Top 5” of overall BET weekly programming since 1980.

The invitation to appear at the show was relayed to the singer after her exceptional performance at a gospel benefit event, held today Saturday November 19th, at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, Massachusetts hosted by Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer, Dr.  Bobby Jones. The benefit event titled “Saving the health of the community, International Gospel Benefit Concert” was sponsored by Whittier Street Health Center (Whittier) a Joint Commission accredited, non-profit, community health center based in Boston, Massachusetts that is headed by Sierra Leonean born, Frederica M. Williams, the organization’s President and CEO. A Bostonpower player, Ms. Williams is currently listed as one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business by the Network Journal of New York.

Dr. Bobby Jones is an icon in the American Gospel industry. He is  the executive producer of several television Gospel shows including BET’s “Bobby Jones Gospel” and the Gospel Music Channel’s “Bobby Jones’ Next Generation”.  We congratulate Giileh on her accomplishment and readers will be informed on the date and time of her scheduled appearance on BET.
