Man 30, Rapes 8 Year old Girl; “We Will Kill Him Youths Vow”
Alimamy Sesay, a 30 year old residing at Sumaila Town, back of Pademba Road Prisons, has been accused of raping an eight year old girl on Sunday 13th September, an incident which caused youths in the area to go in search of him vowing to will kill him if found.
Neighbours in the area revealed that the alleged rapist is a family friend of the girl’s family and is in the habit of calling the girl his wife. Alimamy Sesay is said to have carried out this cruel act when he invited the girl into his room that Sunday evening on the pretext that he was going to give the girl a gift for the family.
After the act, people in the yard started suspecting that something was wrong with the child; the way she limped when walking. The concern was to drawn to the attention of her mother who immediately raised alarm after the child revealed she had been raped by Mr. Alimamy Sesay.
The 8 year old girl explained that Sesay invited her into his room and gave her some chocolate; raped her and advised her strictly not to tell anyone about the incident. Parents of the molested child informed the New England Police immediately and investigations carried out revealed that Alimamy Sesay was seen by a number of people inviting the girl into his room and have attested to the fact he had been referring to the girl as his wife.
According to the girl’s mother, Alimamy usually visited them and but she had no idea that his intention was to rape her daughter. Head of the Family Support Unit at the New England Police, Susan Tarawally, told this press that the police is taking the case with the seriousness it deserves and charge the case to court after due investigations.
