As Leone Stars arrive today Obreh commends players
Captain of the Sierra Leone national football team, Leone Stars, Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo commended players for the brilliant contribution put up during the 2014 CAN Qualifiers despite we did not book a ticket to the event but our performance was appreciated by our fans as we finished with nine points in our group after we held South Africa to a goalless draw.
Kargbo, former Willem Tilburg midfielder, told Sierra Express Media over the weekend, “This really shows that they love the game and respect their country as they are always ready to give their best to the country. As Captain I am happy for the result as it was a complementary effort by all players, they have shown how mature they have grown in the game whilst playing for various clubs in Europe and America.”
Meanwhile the bulk of the team is expected to arrive in Freetown this afternoon after which some will travel tomorrow (Thursday) to honor their club fixtures this weekend.
