Two other Sierra Leonean players on the move in Sweden
19-year old Lansana Kamara alias Khalusha and 18-year old attacker Sulaiman ‘Silay’ Kamara both of local club Kallon FC are the latest Sierra Leonean footballers to move to Sweden. (Lansana Kamara (L) & Sulaiman Kamara (R))
The two have gone on loan to fourth tier league club Eskilstuna City FC until the end of October when the Swedish fourth tier league ends. Both were on trial with Swedish top division club Trelleborg FF.
An agent of the players Chernor Musa Jalloh told sierraleonefootball.com that the boys did well in the trial but Trelleborg wanted them to get more exposure elsewhere.
“Trelleborg are impressed with the boys and are interested in them but the club don’t think they are quite ready yet for top flight football,” said Jalloh.
He added: “An exposure at the fourth tier league level will prepare them well for top flight football.
It pays a lot as many Sierra Leonean players at Allsvenkan went through smaller teams and make their way up, as the case of Poborsky, Teteh, Marcel, Simbo and they are quite Successful.”
This latest move of these two players came two days after another Sierra Leonean player Mohamed Kabia alias Daddy Drogba joined a top tier league side in Sweden Syrianska FC from third tier league side Motala IF FK.
