AIK rejects Club Brugge’s bid for Poborsky Bangura
Swedish website Sportbladet.se has revealed that AIK Solna have rejected a bid from Club Brugge, a Belgian top division side for their Sierra Leonean striker Mohamed Bangura alias Poborsky.
The bid according to Sportbladet.se was dismissed because the amount on offer about 20 million Swedish Krona equivalent to around to 2.2M Euro for Bangura was considered small by AIK.
AIK value the 21 year old Sierra Leonean international way above 20 million Swedish Kronas. During the winter a bigger offer believed to be around 30 million Swedish Kronas equivalent to around 3.2m Euro from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow for Bangura was also turned down for the same reason.
“We think that Bangura demonstrated during the spring of the quality player he is. He showed it during the winter and now he has done so for even longer. So the club’s valuation of Bangura has risen,” AIK Jens Andersson told Sportbaldet.
Bangura has scored seven goals so far for AIK in the ongoing Swedish top division league and has provided assists for team mates to score. He’s a key player in the team.
