Zagalo predicts 4-5-1 winning formation
Sierra Leone Norwegian based Midfielder, Alfred Zagalo Sankoh, has called on the head coach of Sierra Leone’s national team ‘Leone Stars’ to try out the 4-5-1 formation for the September 3rd home qualifier against Egypt.
“I am sure it will a comfortable formation if at all implemented well,” Zagalo told Sierra Express Media sport.
“It is a must that we win the Egypt game if Sierra Leone is to meet her dream of going to Equatorial Guinea/ Gabon.”
“We need to play a very hard football – attacking and defending. It is therefore a must that we strengthen our midfield as the Pharaohs of Egypt always play their game from the midfield,” he said. “In my leisure time, I will analyse the 4-5-1 formation, which I believe will be fruitful to us, the players, and the nation in general.”
He cautioned all that he is not dictating a formation to head coach but rather making a proposition he believes can yield positive result for the team.
He maintained that many see this match as an easy one, but to both teams it is not so at all.
“Playing with a just a striker gives players the ability to deliver and that the wingers’ connection will always be timely,” the 21 year old said.
