SLPP Chairlady resigns

There is reportedly a spate of resentment in the membership of the Western Regional circles of the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) consequent to the just concluded elections of party executives.

This has however resulted to the shocker resignation of the SLPP Western District Chairlady, Madam Haja Rabie Alie.

Findings have it nevertheless that the membership of SLPP Western Regional District vowed splitting the party ahead of the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections should practices of tribalism and sectionalism in the party are not halted.

Affirmations by this press proved that out of the 31 member executives of the Western Area, 98% of persons voted for are Southeasterners with only Lansana Fadika from Western Area.

To this, came the resignation of Haja Rabie Alie as the Western District Regional Chairlady.

It has reached this medium that numbers of SLPP elders in the Western District have resolved to stay off the party for reasons of uncalled for tribalism as sensed during election of the party’s Presidential leader for the 2012 elections.

Public’s assessment indicates that the elected SLPP Flagbearer, Julius Maada Bio, has a filthy past, which by all indications, has unavoidably give a smoother ride for the ruling APC in the soon to come 2012 elections.

Bio is a coupist. He was Vice Chairman of the junta national provisional revolutionary council (NPRC) government which, without any rhyme or reason, arbitrarily killed 28 Sierra Leoneans in cold blood.

That he has had no popularity from within ranks of the Sierra Leone military.

In an interview with some Army officials, they referred to the newly elected the SLPP Presidential candidate is a ‘betrayal’ to the Sierra Leone Army generally.

The traders also expressed similar sentiments, but irrefutably referred to the membership of the SLPP party as full of ‘sectionalism’ and ‘tribalism.’
