ASIL unveils Kamara…
Asil Lysi FC has signed and unveiled Sierra Leonean midfielder, Kam Kamara alias Kankaylay Police, on a three year lucrative contract Friday 22nd at the Grigoris Afxentiou stadium, Larnaca, Cyprus after two weeks of intense negotiations between the player’s agent Opong Kamara and Asil FC Club officials.
The former FC Kallon and Mighty Blackpool midfielder said he is happy to be part of Asil FC.
“The battle was not easy for them to land me, but thank God everything is okay with me at the moment,” Midfielder Kankaylay Police told the Sierra Express Sports in a telephone conversation from Cyprus.
Coach Anorticocus said Kankaylay Police will be used as a winger because he can play with either leg and this will be very convenient for the team and him as he is the only natural winger in the team.
“With the inclusion of Kam, I can contest for the title this season,” adding that the club’s best seasons were 1968 and 1998 said the coach.
In his path, Kankalay’s scout, Opong Kamara said the player will commence training with the rest of the squad today Monday 25th at the club’s training ground in Lysi Fatmagusta. “It is hoped he will have a good spell at his new outfit,” he said.
He also said he hoped this will serve as an eye opener to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) eyeing players doing extremely well with their respective international clubs.
