Injury blow for Sierra Leonean footballer, Alhassan Bangura
New Forest Green Rovers midfielder Alhassan Bangura is set to miss the start of the new season after suffering a knee injury in training.
The 23-year-old Sierra Leonean, who joined Rovers at the start of the month, will undergo surgery on Thursday and will be sidelined for at least four weeks.
Boss Dave Hockaday told the club website: “I’m sad for Al that he has suffered this injury during training.
“Al has worked hard since he arrived, so missing him will be a big blow.”
