Another Christiana Bull video out
Breaking The Rules, a film starring Christiana Bull in a leading role as a virgin, is now available on DVD.
Marketer/distributor, Mickey Perry, said the film has already sold more than four thousand copies in the last four days alone and still counting. According to Perry the movie is well-packaged and therefore will be very hard for unscrupulous people to pirate it.
Perry, who’s the CEO of Perry Dot Com, said piracy should not be a stumbling block to the development of both the music and film industries.
“My strategy has worked for me. Even the well-known pirates in town are now rushing to my office to buy the film in wholesale and later sell in retail,’’ Perry said.He added: “If you can just do a professional work, package it well and make it affordable, there should be no reason to worry about piracy. I want to provide that market for Sierra Leone’s emerging film industry. Sierra Leone has all what it takes to produce films that can breakthrough in the international markets, not just Nollywood.”
Perry further said he aims to make the film available to Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora as well. He said he is looking forward to partner with individuals and organizations to market the film in the UK and USA.
Director of the film, Augustus Omojo Thomas, earlier told Salonejamboree in an exclusive interview that the film provides Christiana Bull a big opportunity to redeem her image following a leaked sex video of her and her boyfriend which stormed the streets last year.
“She (Christiana Bull) has a potential in the emerging movie industry if she dedicates more time into it, and ‘Breaking the Rules’ will help re-brand her image,” said Thomas, who also directed ‘Lost Identity’. “She has the looks; with effort and time she will bounce back to something else in the movie business in Sierra Leone. She has a passion for film.”
The film tells the story of Bull, a virgin born and raised in France and trying to settle down, returning to her homeland to get a husband. Incidentally, Michael, an ex-player but hardworking young man, is also looking for a wife and he aims to marry a virgin. Michael contracted Claude- a notorious player who has already slept with 49 high profile ladies- to seduce Bull to bed. The suspense includes whether Claude will succeed, or whether Michael will marry Bull.
The low budget film also stars Ramadan K.D. Barrie, Omo Thorpe and Kadiatu Kallon, and was shot by German national Micheal Du Chesne entirely in several locations across Sierra Leone.
