VSK’s Caulker injury doubts for Sunday
Swedish superettan side Vasteras SK could face a goalkeeper crisis on Sunday if the injury suffered by their Sierra Leonean keeper Christian Caulker (in photo) on Monday night in their 2-2 draw against Varnamo is serious.
Goalie Caulker injured his shoulder against Värnamo and now the 22-year-old will be examined but VSK fears that the damage can be severe.
“An initial report from the doctors said it could be a serious injury, “said sporting director Hacia Aslan.
Today it is been confirmed by the player that he is hoping to be fit to play against Hammarby this Sunday, however Caulker injury is still under examination.
And VSK official website has stated Caulker’s injury is not as bad feared but they are not certain of him taking any part in their upcoming league game.
If it turns out that Caulker cannot play against Hammarby on Sunday, VSK will turn to last year’s hero Oskar Wahlström.
