Bangura sits out against Hacken

The Swedish Allsvenkan will continue this weekend and one of the talking points amongst soccer pundits and fans is the fact Sierra Leonean AIK’s striker Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura (in photo) will be out of the AIK squad that will face Hacken this Saturday.

After his straight red card away to Syriac in their last league encounter the goal poacher will not be allowed to play for two league matches according to football rules.

Today the player has stated he is very disappointed to miss vital games despite his side winning their last league match at home by a goal margin defeating Orebro.

“I’m obviously disappointed, if you ask me, I would have preferred to help my team any time any day, it is great to be a part of a great team like AIK, he told Sierra Express Media.

Both sides AIK and Hacken have started the season on a high note, the Sierra Leonean has no option but watch his side from the stands as a spectator.

“I am sorry for stamping on keeper Dwayne Miller, and I didn’t mean to, it was an opportunity I wanted to take by scoring for my team and it happened that way, I accepted the referee’s decision,” he said.

Tetteh was also disappointed after several Syriac players rushed him talking in Swedish. He confirmed today his regret of all what happened.

However, the Hacken head coach Gerhardsson believes his side can handle both Bangura’s and Tettehs’ absence, he can’t change anything, but went further to praise the strikers for their teamwork and effort so far in  the season.  “It is nothing too special, but yes they are good strikers,” Gerhardsson said.
