Superintendent Mohamed B. Kamara, who acts as head of Sierra Leone Police Legal Department, was referenced weeks ago by the ‘For Di People’ newspaper as uttering out disgruntlement for not being promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent in the Sierra Leone Police (SLP).

The newspaper carries wide-ranging disclosures of mentions made to them by Superintendent Kamara against his boss the Inspector General of Police.

It was revealed by  ‘For Di People’ that Superintendent Kamara accused his boss of unfair distribution of promotions to officers and men of the SLP.

Facts have it that immediately after publication of the interview with Superintendent Kamara by reporter Arthua Madie of ‘For Di People’ newspaper, an order to have the forenamed senior police officer investigated was forwarded to the Complaint, Discipline, and Internal Investigation Department (CDIID) by IG Francis Munu.

Though ongoing, it is speculated that on completion of findings of the CDIID, Superintendent Kamara may likely face police disciplinary hearing for divulging official secret.

It is a fact that Superintendent Kamara owns a law degree and has served as the head of legal department in the SLP for considerable number of years.

Records have it that he has been a Superintendent for over five years and heads the legal office in the SLP.

Sources say it is possible Superintendent Kamara intends to quit should IG Munu insist having him dealt with disciplinarily.
