CADO Director in $53,000 scam

The Director of Community Animation and Rural Development Organization (CADO), Mr. Solomon S.A. Kargbo is to account for lump sum of $53,000 money owned by deceased Mohamed Sesay.

Mohamed died with family members owing to a fire catastrophe at their No 3 Parsonage Street, Kissy Shell residence.

Mohamed died leaving behind a colossal amount of money and assets.

Sources from within the business committee have told this press that after realizing that Mohamed had died with his wife in the house, the Director of CADO, who is cousin of the deceased was assigned to take over the supervision of valuables including money owned by the forenamed deceased person.

“CADO director was instructed to watch over the late man’s property until his funeral” one Mohamed Fornah bewailed.

Adding that: “We handed over the late man’s vehicle (a Toyota RAV 4), which during his life time, he promised to sell at $13,000, and all documents relating to material goods including a shop and houses under rent.”

Solomon, we are told, was collecting rent from the shop.

It is revealed though that deceased, Mohamed, was a member of the business committee and that family members have asked the committee to find out about the assets of the late man.

“Family members have authorized us investigate assets owned by late Mohamed and report to them.” Fornah emphasized.

Solomon, who acts as the Director of CADO was later called upon and told to submit assets of the late man to members of the business committee.

However, instead of him complying with instruction, he resorted at the use of careless and unfounded words; “you don’t belong to our family and please mind your business.”

A complaint was made to the CID of the actions of the CADO Director, where later he was invited and nakedly made to admit to fault.

Inside CID source says he has promised to submit assets in his possession for the late man.

Unconfirmed reports say that the late man was having diamonds, gold, and a colossal sum of US dollars in his safe.

Facts say that Solomon denied meeting anything in the inside of the safe.

Albeit his denial, he has been compelled to make refund of $53,000 or face the wrath of the law.

Several efforts to have comment of the CADO Director proved futile.
