Global Times editor launches campaign tomorrow

The editor of Global Times newspaper, Sheik M. Bawoh will on Tuesday 22nd launch his campaign for the position of Vice President in the upcoming Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) executive elections.

Sheik has served as both a journalist and as an editor for a considerable number of years.

He has versed knowledge in the field of journalism and so intends share the same with up and coming journalists.

Sheik has been nominated and short listed as one of the competing candidates for the position of  VP,  SLAJ.

He has confirmed to this press the unfailing launching of his campaign come Tuesday 22nd March.

“I will launch my campaign tomorrow at the SLAJ head office at 10 a.m. without fail,” Sheik said.

Comments from some members of SLAJ revealed Sheik’s disposition as someone highly accommodating.  And he is described as having passion for colleague journalists.

“I have no doubt in Sheik.  If he is voted for as Vice President, he will surely meet SLAJ’s positive expectations,” a SLAJ member who asked for his name not to be mentioned said.

It is expected though that Sheik will be delivering a solid and worth considered political statement at the launch of his campaign.

In his comment, Sheik called on colleague journalists to consider voting him as not a fighter but as a redeemer of the association’s uncalled for happenings.

“In my statement, I have made mentioned of how I intend to work with whosoever becomes the next SLAJ President,” Sheik said.

“I came from a humbled background and I was taught how to submissively do things to enhance results.”
