Caulker is fit for Niamey cracker

Vasteras FK and Sierra Leone’s first choice goalkeeper Christian Caulker has called on Sierra Express Media to disclosed that he is fit for Sierra Leone’s crunch match in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger in Niamey on March 27. (Photo: Caulker in action against AIK)

Reports in from Sweden indicated that the player would not be fit to start the season with his new club Vasteras FK due to a knee problem and would not be in goal for Sierra Leone in Niger.

Talking to SEM sports yesterday Caulker said, I am fit am ready to play, my knee injury is not as bad as was expected and I will leave Sweden Monday next week to go to Freetown to start early preparation.

This is great news for the Leone Stars Swedish technician Lars Olof Mattson who named Caulker in his 21 man squad. However what many soccer pundits are worried about is whether the fine keeper is match fit, after being out of action for over a week now.
