Deadline for payment of SLAJ dues and delegate fee
Freetown – The National Secretariat of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), wishes to announce that the deadline for payment of membership dues has been extended to Friday 11 March 2011, and urges all members of the association to honour their dues to be eligible to participate in this year’s Biennial Conference and election due to take place in Kenema on 25 and 26 March. The monthly dues remain the same, and Delegate Fee for the Biennial Conference is Le 50,000.
No payment of dues after the said date will be accepted and the names of paid-up members will be duly supplied to the Electoral Commission as the final electoral register.
Delegate Fee will, however, be accepted not later than Monday 21 March.
Members wishing to honour their subscription should contact the SLAJ headquarters at 56 Campbell Street, Freetown on Monday through Friday from 09:00 – 17:00. They will duly be issued with a receipt and their names will be recorded in a ledger to underscore transparency and accountability which has been the hallmark of our Executive.
Those registered in the provinces should contact their Regional Executive in Bo, Kenema or Makeni to settle their bills.
