City Council Corruption Exposed!
Cabinet, at respective meetings; 31st January and 7th February 2011, confirmed corruption overindulgences of City Council due to its end of year financial status.
Facts sourced out say a tricycle purportedly missing after repairs at Works Yard was found in the private custody of the Chief Administrator of City Council Bowenson Philips.
It is also confirmed at meetings held by cabinet members that the sum of Le151,000,000 approved and expended for the devolved sector retreat 2010, was untimely and corruptly handled.
According to a letter dated 7th February 2011, it is made clear that the City Council under Mayor Herbert George Williams has swindled hundreds of millions of tax payers’ monies.
Wary of it all was revelation concerning the untying of government grants and monies found later expended corruptly and incorrectly.
Sources say Mayor Herbert Williams and City Council’s Chief Administrator, Bowenson Philips, together, accessed tied government grants and used same for a purpose other than intended.
It is revealed that tax payers’ monies have been diverted into private accounts – some of which were used for the purchase of houses in the UK.
Sources say monies untied from government grants amounts to five hundred thousand pounds.
Be it known that City Council’s Chief Administrator, Bowenson Philips, who doubles as vote controller and Chief Adviser to the council, has on his shoulder the responsibility of the smooth and day to day operations of the council.
Mayor Herbert and Bowenson Philips, we are told, have been dragged to the Anti Corruption on accounts of allegations concerning deceitful use of hundreds of millions of City Council’s finances.
Officials of City Council have been informed by Cabinet to submit explanation leading to huge deficit in the end of year statement of affairs and present bad financial status of City Council.
Public’s perceptions show glaring that officials of City Council have chopped tax payers’ monies, but apparently enjoys Presidential ‘anti sacred cow’ special consideration.
