Information reaching this press states that the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works, A.M. Bockarie, who until recent times was sent on leave, rejects handing over office to his successor Mr. J.T Kanu.

In a letter titled ‘Administrative officers postings’ dated 19th January 2011, it is stated glaring that A.M. Bockarie has been sent on leave to retirement, but unlawfully occupies the office of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works.

That Mr. J.T Kanu who happened to be the man assigned as the new Secretary is left with no option but to patrol the corridors of the Ministry of Works having nothing to do.

It must be summed up that Bockarie in the past was suspended as provincial secretary eastern province for physically assaulting then Resident Minister east, Sahr Fillie Faboe.

Sources say Bockarie has served the civil service for over 60 years.

It is revealed also that Bockarie was kicked out of the public service commission shortly after confirmation that he was illegally engaged in the renting of government premises to traders.

He is alleged to have been posted at the office of the Vice President, but again kicked out owing to his involvement in the forging of traveling documents in favour of one Mr. Jordan nay implicating and putting into shame the Foreign Affairs Ministry of this country.

Findings by this press proved that Bockarie, according to transfer memorandum, must have handed over office to J.T Kanu long before, but up until now did not at all.

He was also spotted as saying that “as long as APC lives nobody will send him on leave to retirement.”

In paragraph two of letter written to the Minister of Works and copied the Chief of Staff in the office of the President, it is stated that that “Bockarie vehemently refused his successor access to the office of the permanent secretary of Ministry of Works.”

It must be noted however that previous bad conducts of Bockarie warrants dismissal as at time of occurrences.

Sources say Bockarie boasts having establishment officials in his pocket.
