Mabella snubs Maada Bio
Residents of Mabella community Friday snubbed one of SLPP aspirants, Julius Maada Bio.
It is disappointing though that Mabella residents never showed up to welcome one of SLPP’s Presidential hopefuls, Maada Bio as he joined Muslims during the Friday prayer.
At the Mabella Mosque, worshippers were observed ‘in shumu shumu’ eavesdropping at the former junta leader turned SLPP Presidential aspirant.
On lookers were at corners, bars and market tables denouncing the SLPP aspirant as not having the looks of a good leader.
Despite Maada Bio’s ceremonial and respectable submission to residents of Mabella, he was snubbed and made to know that that community is the base of his challenger aspirant Usman Boie Kamara.
According to our reporter, supporters of Usman Boie were in their numbers chanting and reciting slogans of reassurance to the goodwill of their candidate of Choice as opposed to Maada Bio.
At the Mabella Mosque, Maada Bio, calls on all to pray for government and Sierra Leone generally.
After the prayers, he visited the ‘court barray’ of the Mabella Chief, Alhaji Pa. Alimamy Kamara, where he was encouraged to keep his stance and work towards achieving his vision.
Even though Chief Kamara, in his speech, encouraged all to toe the line of Maada Bio, onlookers were unimpressed and never wanted to listen to him at all.
Things went odd shortly after Chief Kamara recounted on Maada Bio’s tenure of junta rule in Sierra Leone.
According to our reporter, Maada, upon recitation, bowed his head and bust into tears.
It is reported also that supporters of Maada almost go into a fight with supporters of Usman Boie Kamara.
Mabella unlike other communities in Freetown is believed to be the strong hold of Usman Boie.
