AIK refutes Bangura 25million bid

AIK’s director of sports Jens Anderson (in photo) has refuted reports in the Swedish press that there is a bid for 25million for Mohamed Bangura, from Russia. – No official bid to that extent for Sierra Leonean striker, Jens said.

Less than 24hours after the report was published Andersson took his time to explain that there are a lot of bids for the player but they are well below that price.

However, Andersson confirms that AIK must be extremely well paid before any release for the 21-year-old striker. Jens said everything has a price. – My job is to get as much as possible for the players. Jens also noted he understands Bangura reaction absolutely.

Both the chairman Johan Stromberg and sports director Jens Anderson deny that there is an official bid of that magnitude. The president went further to say the bid we have received has been significantly less and there is a lots of speculation among the Swedish press.

Any official bid will come either from a person who has authority to act for a club or in writing by fax, for example. Johan told Sportbladet. When asked if they would sell for 25 million if there is any offer, Jens was resolute by saying he has no idea and will not want to speculate about this matter, he also pointed out he did not want to comment on the player’s agent, Patrick Mork’s statement.
