It could be recalled that on the 6th January 2011, the head of police transport and procurement, Superintendent Gibril Mohamed Turay aka GMT, instructed police constable 8087 Conteh, to deliver water to the residence of the Vice President, Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana.

It is revealed though that Supt. GMT later instructed the police driver to deliver water to the home of one Mammy Wonday, who happened to be a retired police officer.

After the delivery of water to the home of the VP, the same vehicle was refilled for delivery to Mammy Wonday at her Hill Station home.

Amara, according to findings, is an applicant seeking for employment in the police.

He was recruited as police driver’s mate and was acting as apprentice to range of police drivers.

His right hand has been amputated and he is presently admitted at the emergency hospital at Goderich.

Though Supt. GMT, in his report to investigators of the police Complaint Discipline Internal Investigation Department (CDIID), denied giving instruction for the supply of water to Mammy Wonday, he was spotted as confessing that he has, at one point, discussed with Mammy Wonday for the supply of water at her Hill Station residence.

Supt. GMT is presently under suspension pending the investigation. It is pre-empted that he will be dragged to the police court/tribunal to answer to disciplinary charges proffered against him.

It is yet not known whether Amara, who now suffers amputation will receive take home package as consolation to his misfortune.

Even though Amara’s state of health is terrible, sources say he has vowed to undeniable cause the police pay him compensation for inflicting ruin to him.
