‘Ambush Commander’ Dragged to Court
Aruna Santigie Conteh popularly known as ‘Ambush Commander’ appeared before Magistrate Steven Conteh to answer to two count charges of libel.
In the particulars of the offence it is stated that on diverse dates ‘Ambush Commander’ while contributing to a radio programme at the SLBC used words that are libelous of Alhaji Alhaji Abubakarr Fofanah.
He is said to have referred to Alhaji Abubakarr as having hands in the stealing of monies from funds in accounts of the Sierra Leone Drivers Union to buy a jeep.
The accused represented by Leon Jenkins Johnston was granted bail in the sum of Le 5 million a surety.
The matter was adjourned to the 26th January, 2011.
