No Bangura as FKH lift the west trophy

Despite he was wanted so badly to be part of this exciting first indoor trophy, according to FHK sport Director Asbjørn Helgeland, new signing Sierra Leonean born Umaru Bangura’s FK Haugesund side lifted the West Championship trophy as their pre-season now gets underway, however, Bangura was not available.  (Photo: FKH line-up with trophy)

FKH defeated Viking 3-1 in the final of the West Championship with goals from Nikola Djurdjic, Simen Rough and Chris Pozniak.

Their first encounter against West Ham ended 5-0 inside the West Hall. Two goals each from Chris Pozniak 2, Sten Ove Eike 2 and Ugonna Anyora (penalty) ensured a 5-0 victory for Bangura side.

These encounters were broadcast live on TV2 Sport and TV2 Sumo according to FHK club website.

A slightly pacy game it was reported that Haugesund played full strength teams to test both new and old players and it paid a dividend of eight goals from two matches – a brilliant way to send a message in the Norwegian Tippeligaen at the commence of the season.
