Sierra Leone set for La Paz/Lima friendly

‘Football for You’ a FIFA licensed match agent, with the right responsibility to organise friendly matches across the world in line with the FIFA calendar. They are ready to offer Sierra Football Association (SLFA) a round package that will see the Sierra Leone national team Leone Stars in either Bolivia capital La Paz or Peru Lima come next month. This is according to their African representative, former SLFA’s assistant secretary, Abu Bakarr Kabba.  If this report coming from the Football for You representative is anything to go by, Leone Stars will make another history after the two friendlies in the United Kingdom late in 2007 for the first time out of African soil.

These friendlies are dated for February 9, in line with the World’s football governing body, FIFA’s calendar for friendlies.

According to a reliable source SLFA has been approached with the package offer which includes them choosing Leone Stars’ opponent between two South American teams Bolivia and Peru and also receiving a purse of US$10,000 as match fee. This is according to the SLFA.com

In addition ‘Football For You’ will be responsible for the airfare to travel to the venue of the match in South America, lodging and feeding of the Leone Stars delegation.

Another source confirms that the SLFA president Nahim Khadi and his executives are aware of the package offer and will take a great insight before taking it into consideration.

‘Football for You’ is a FIFA licensed match agent and their responsibility is to organise friendly matches across the world in line with the FIFA calendar.

The National team do need these type of friendlies as they will use them to prepare the team for both encounters against Niger in Niamey and Freetown this year.

  • Bolivia has already agreed to play Latvia on 9th February (in Turkey) and Peru is playing Panama on 9th February. So, I don’t think Sierra Leone will be playing any of these 2 national teams.
