AIK, Dule breaks up

On Monday, Johnson was acquitted after being charged with rape and during Monday night met the player’s representative and AIK’s sports manager to sort out how to proceed.

Today the break out that AIK wishes him good luck, both parties reached an agreement to violate the player’s contract that expires next season. For AIK Football, it’s a mutual decision.

“The opportunities for us to work on are limited, after the damage has already occurred,” said sports director Jens Anderson.

“I am convinced that this is the way to go. It feels like we have solved this in a positive way and there are no tags between us.

“I wish AIK luck in the future. I will never forget the AIK’s fans and in 2009 when we won two gold, ” Dule said.

Meanwhile, Dule has been in custody awaiting trial and just after he was released on bail, pending the Court hearing, after the trial ended, AIK supporters’ organization and Black Army major sponsor Åbro pressed to get the midfielder fired.

“But I have not had any meetings or received such pressure,” says Anderson.

Dule Johnson joined AIK in 2006 from Hacken and made his debut at home against Gefle in April. During the transfer window in summer 2008, he left AIK to play in Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv.

After a year he returned to Stockholm and in 2009 he was with the club when they won the double, national championship and gold cup, under Coach Michael Stahre. Now he is free to go to any club he wants – As of today he is a Bosman, ” said Jens Andersson.
