J-Sodra IF extend Awilo contract
Jonkoping Sodra IF also known as J-Sodra in the Swedish Superettan has extended the contract of Sierra International left wing player Sheriff Awilo Suma (in photo) until 2012.
The Swedish football club based in Jonkoping are more than happy to retain one of their best players from last season. According to Suma he signed with the Swedish outfit because he is happy and is looking forward to the future.
“Where I am today I am happy and I am ready to give my best in the coming season, I feel great and hope the future is bright,” he said
The 24-year old contacted the Sierraexpressmedia.com just after he penned down his two years extension; the wide attacking midfielder now playing left back has a wider experience since he was part of the Åtvidabergs team that represents Sweden in Uefa club competition.
The Leone Stars fine player also pointed out clubs from the USA, Cyprus and Azerbaijan, and even top Swedish clubs wanted his service but he decided not to part with Jonkoping for personal reasons.
Meanwhile, J-Sodra defeated Sirius to stay in the Superettan division last season and Suma was one of their instrumental players in both ties.
Suma full of experience in Scandinavian played for clubs like FK Haugesund of Norway and Swedish clubs Gais and Åtvidabergs FF where he played in the 2006 UEFA Cup, now defunct. He also played in Turkey for Kocaelispor and in Cyprus for Ermis Aradippou FC.
