Africell Launches Xmas Promotion
Africell mobile communication company on Thursday launched it Christmas promotion bonanza at the Country Lodge Hotel, Hill Station, Freetown.
The ceremony also welcomed Africell’s new Corporate Affairs Manager, Joe Abass Bangura, whom they say has been with the company since commencement of operation as a mobile company in Sierra Leone.
In his statement, Africell’s Chief Executive Officer, Robert R .L Khoury, stressed on Joe Abass’ laudable service to the company and said he joined them in April of 2005.
He said Joe Abass has served as Finance officer, Director and Regional Operation Director even before receiving the Hubert Humphrey Fulbright’s Scholarship from the United States government.
“Joe Abass is back, up and ready to deliver his best to Africell’s loyal subscribers in Sierra Leone,” Robert Khoury said.
The new Corporate Affairs Manager, who happened to be the person that launched the Xmas Promotion, noted that the promotion is meant for all loyal subscribers, and that it is called ‘pick your fortune Christmas promotion.’
As the promotion was already launched 2nd December 2010, a TV/ radio game show shall have to be held at the SLBC and will be run up until the end of December 2010.
During the live draw, subscribers shall be selected electronically and are asked to choose from 20 boxes that are numbered 1-20.
The boxes shall state prizes in the form of money, or top up credit, or a chance to have person spin the wheel of fortune, or the Xmas tree.
The digital wheel of fortune will have 8 options with 8 different prizes including TV, Generator, Fridge, and DVD Player, 200, 400 and 600 units.
The Xmas tree will have 30 balls hanging on it and of it, shall be a ball that carries the star prize of Le 20, 000,000.
Consolation of Le 200.000 shall be given to persons competent to play the Xmas tree, but unlucky to win the star prize.
Le 20,000,000 shall be set aside every week as star prize and shall continue until the end of the promotion.
