Medo in action against Sevojno today
Finland’s 2010 player of the year Mohamed Medo Kamara (in photo) will again start against Slobodan Sevojno today Saturday in the Serbian premier division. Formerly from local club FC Kallon, Medo is presently in top form since 2008 when he was voted MVP for his club and he played every match.
Serbian Super League draws the curtains on the first part of the season with Saturday`s Round 15 matches. Partizan face Slobodan Sevojno at 13.00h kick-off and gates for this encounter are free.
Partizan Belgrade are leading the Serbian table with just three points from Crvena Zvezda who are second with 34 points from 14 matches, they need a victory at home in front of their 32, 710 fans at their Stadium FK Partizan.
According to reports head coach, Aleksandar Stanojevic is not expected to use his first team as they are prepared to face Arsenal in the Champions League next Wednesday, Stanojevic despite bottom in the CL table will be expecting at least a point from their group.
“ Don’t praise the day before the night falls,” were words from Aleksandar.
They have been so poor this season in the Champions League playing five games with no points, however Mohamed Medo Kamara has been so instrumental in all those matches for his Serbian side.
They will be in London to face Arsenal in a very difficult encounter; the Gunners need to beat Partizan Belgrade in their final match if they are to guarantee progress, while Shakhtar Donetsk will top the group if they avoid defeat to Braga.
Arsenal can still go through if they draw or lose to Partizan Belgrade but only if Braga do not improve on that result. The Gunners can also still top the group if they win and Donetsk loses to Braga.
