650 Sierra Leonean Pilgrims to Jet in Thursday at Lungi Airport

After a successful completion of this year’s Hajj, the last two batches of Sierra Leonean pilgrims will depart from the Holy Land on Wednesday, 1st November, 2010.

In a brief interview with the Chairman of the 2010 Hajj Mission, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, who also doubles as  Sierra Leone’s Labour,  Employment and Social Security Minister, early Tuesday, November 30, 2010 confirmed that the last two sets of pilgrims are expected to arrive at the Lungi International Airport in the early hours of Thursday, 2nd December, 2010.

These two sets of pilgrims numbering 500 and 150 are headed by the Chairman of the 2010 Hajj Mission, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray and a member of the Hajj Mission, Alhaji M.S Kargbo, respectively.

It would be recalled that the first two batches, headed by another member of the Hajj Mission, Alhaji Salieu Mansaray, numbering 22 and the other headed by Alhaji Yayah Deen Kamara, numbering 9, who were sponsored by Government and Physicians Across Continent (PAC) respectively  left the King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah on Friday, 26th November, 2010 .

They arrived safely at the Lungi International Airport in the early hours of Sunday, 28th November, 2010.

According to Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, His Excellency, the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma is expected to address all Sierra Leonean pilgrims who performed this year’s Hajj at State House on 3rd December, 2010 after the congregational prayers on Friday.
