APC Chairman Commends Sierra Leone´s Ambassadors to Germany, UK
Acting Chairman of the APC Frankfurt Chapter, Germany, Mr. Mohamed Bangura (in photo) has commended both the Sierra Leonean Ambassador to the Federal republic of Germany, His Excellency Jangopie Siaka Stevens and the High Commissioner to Great Britain, H.E Edward Turay for what he described as their unflinching support to his Chapter´s activities.
He recalled that since he took over as Acting Chairman of the Frankfurt Chapter, his relationship with diplomatic missions across Europe including the United Kingdom has been very cordial, adding that, the aforementioned Ambassadors have so far been supportive in strengthening the party for a landslide victory come 2012 general elections.
Mr. Bangura noted that both Ambassadors have demonstrated their commitment when he said, “They personally made cash donation to the party after the fund raising project we organized in Frankfurt early September this year.”
The fund raising project, Mr. Bangura went on, was organized to amplify his party’s readiness for the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“We as a party thought it fit to make early preparations for the upcoming elections. We will use all our contacts and little resources to contribute to the success of the party,” the APC tycoon opined.
He further thanked the two Ambassadors for their personal attendance during the fundraising project and what he described as, “having the party and their country at heart.”
The APC Chief emphasized the need for unremitting effort in order to build up the gains his party has so far made after three years of governance. He stressed that other diplomatic heads in the diaspora should emulate the good work of Ambassador Stevens and Edward Turay.
He reiterated his engagement with his party members across Germany, in what he called, “The establishment of more chapters in various parts of the country, for a formidable and dedicated force.”
“We are making every effort to form many branches in Germany. This is because we want to bring everybody onboard and work towards the interest of our country,” he said.
Mr. Bangura has called on all Sierra Leoneans to put aside tribal and ethnic sentiments and work towards developing the country’s economy and infrastructure.
