Surveyor Forged Signature of Lands Director

A licensed private surveyor, Aruna Abdallah was yesterday whisked to the CID by a team of police investigators for forging the signature of the Director of Lands.

Abdallah, a surveyor, met his end shortly after revelation of the sale of a land at the ‘Black Town’ community in Lakka Village was made known to officials of the Ministry of Lands.

It was reported that surveyor Abdallah surveyed and forged the signature of the Director of Lands, Dr. William Farmer.  Knowledge about the forging of the signature reached him due to complaint made by an American, Dr. Anchor.

Findings say Dr. Anchor paid Le 98.000.000 to Abdallah for four acres of land he purportedly owned at ‘Black Town.’

Dr. Anchor, we are told, was at ‘Black Town’ yesterday to inspect the land he paid for, but realized that Abdallah had no land in that community.

In was told to our reporter that Dr. Anchor later tendered a land plan issued him by Abdallah.

This, according to police source, brought to light the discovery of how Abdallah criminally forged signature of the Director of Lands.

He was later whisked to the CID where he now stays helping the police in their investigation.

It must be summed up that the habits having signatures of land directors faked, is nothing new in society at all.

Sierra Express Media, on a number of occasions, has published stories exposing corrupt, faking and fraudulent conducts of officials of Lands Ministry.

A case in point are stories published that explain the involvement of the Director of Lands, Dr. Farmer, who according to findings, was consulted by World Bank to do Western Area Lands Registration, but performed woefully.

He is said to have been receiving USD 10.000 every month, but failed to properly conduct the registration exercise.

Efforts to get CID officials have their say into the story proved futile.
