Warrant for Nigeria Fraudster
It has reached the desk of Sierra Express Media that a Nigerian trickster Peter Johnson, who was clamped by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), is wanted by the Liberian Police for the offence of escape from lawful custody.
It could be recalled that the known Nigerian fraudster and others were on two Thursdays past, whisked to the CID by some Liberians for fraud of USD $7,000 and the sum of Le6.590.000.000 (six million fifty nine thousand Liberian Dollars).
All, including Nigerian Peter Johnson, have made statements to investigators of the economic crime department of CID.
It must be summed up that in the past Nigerians and Sierra Leoneans have had deep dealings on issues of deception and fraud activities.
The police, on many occasions, effect arrest on persons culpable of defrauding monies belonging to genuine citizens, investigate and charge them to the court, but in the end released.
Sierra Express has information exposing police officers bottomless conspiracy with 419ers in the fleecing of hard earned monies of both foreign and Sierra Leonean business people.
State officials (Ministers and Deputies, Permanent Secretaries, heads of parastatals, directors of institutions etc) have had themselves messed up by tricksters time and again.
Sources say top police officers act as safeguard to 419ers almost everyday, week, month and year.
Preceding arrest of Yusuf Sesay, Peter Johnson and others, a warrant of arrest was later tendered by Interpol Sierra Leone, demanding extradition of Peter Johnson, Yusuf Sesay and Bakarr Jalloh to Liberia for crimes committed in Liberian soil.
