APC…The Adamu you don’t know

Adamu, an ex-soldier and former rebel of the AFRC/SLA forces, and who now acts as thug for the ruling APC, was a front line commander for AFRC.  (Photo:  Vice President Sam Sumana)

That notwithstanding, he was the man behind all the attacks on Kono by forces loyal to the AFRC/RUF alliance.

To again hear that the same hooligan ignites an attack on the offices of the SLPP in Kono, unavoidably revealed how low minded are Sierra Leonean politicians.

Sierra Express Media still holds to facts that exposed Adamu’s destructive role during periods of Sierra Leone’s brutal and dastard war.

The likes of Adamu, in the interpretation of principles as mentioned in ‘transitional justice,’ needs thorough vetting; ban from holding public office, or participate on issues of public concern.

By the above description, Adamu’s true character could be read as below: violently reckless, warlike, notorious drug taker, leader of an infamous gang group in Kono and a thief.

In summary, this is who Adamu is. It’s therefore poses the question, ‘why are political parties in Sierra Leone run after impious ex-combatants to make serve as their personal guards?

In the 2007 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, the scene was all for the ex-combatants (rebels); with body guards to leaders of political parties i.e. APC & SLPP.

Public survey explains how politicians relied on ex-combatant instead of the trained security personnel.

About a year or so, the ruling APC caused training of over 20 ex-combatants on issues of security in Morocco.

On their returned they were shoved into the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) as police men.

All, according to findings, have their operations as personal guards to President Koroma and Vice President Sam Sumana.

Of course, we all know that the initiation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was to address impunity and settle misunderstandings between the hurts and the perpetrators.

Notwithstanding such, persons believed to bear greatest responsibility of war crimes, were later ushered into the wells of the Special Court for Sierra Leone to answer to war crimes and international humanitarians crimes.

Internationally, Sierra Leone as a nation fulfills two of the many elements described by the practice of transitional justice.

Reparation, according to investigation, is under way.

The above citations are reflections of Sierra Leone’s government acquiesce to requirements mandated by changeover – from war to peace.

Yes, Sierra Leone boastfully enjoys peace these days, but is yet to vet ex-combatants now occupying public offices unchecked.

The recent attack on the office of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party by gangsters of APC, as alleged, sparks shock and fear in minds of patriots of this country.

Of course, minds went ‘off-putting’ when anecdote of Vice President Sam Sumana’s presence in Kono, as at the day of the alleged attack on SLPP office, is told to this press.

While we (Sierra Express Media) insist on Adamu’s conduct, we also reflect on government’s refusal to cause the investigation of piles of allegation made against the named ex-combatant.

The incident leading to the attack on SLPP office in Kono, indisputably exposed APC’s continued cultivation of ex-combatants as party loyalists-thugs.

Adamu, knowing him for what he is, carries on his face the blot of a tarnished and unfeeling creature.

He is so because he was frontline commander for AFRC, and was at fore to all the attacks on his home town Kono.

Generally, a man whose action irritates his interest can be tagged as wicked to himself.

Conversely, if an indigene of Kono could bring disgust to his district, who then is he; devil or human?

Until politics of yester years are abandoned, society and the world will continue to cast aspersion on Sierra Leone’s stylized democracy.

No matter the flimsy excuses, Adamu, who enjoys APC’s unreserved back up, has always been featured as ring leader to attacks on opponents of the ruling APC.

To the Konos, Adamu is Satan’s commissioner; unfeeling and wicked to his own people.

No time to waste at all. The black jeep offered Adamu is allegedly a donation from Vice President Sam Sumana.

Undercover findings directing how the black jeep reached Adamu, its cost and where bought, will soon be told word for word.

No wonder, ex-combatants turned night stalkers, queued State House in black coats; making acclamations that they are personal guards to the Pa.

Deservingly, all, but none, meet up the criteria justifiably qualifying them as state body guards.

The APC, as observed, encourages ex-combatant than trained and experience police officers.

Almost all of those pitched as personal securities to the President and his Vice have been frontline ex-combatants.

Allegations pointing fingers at the Vice President seemed showing justification that Adamu’s vigilance and uncalled for attacks on opponent political parties, has the backings of the powers that be.

Adamu, as society sees him, is apparently pioneering an unforeseen commotion that will portray bad prophecy on Sierra Leone.

Go tell it to Vice President Sam Sumana that his boy, Adamu, ‘must’ avoid doing things unfavourable to state peace.
