AIK’s Bangura can leave in January
Sierra Leonean AIK wonder kid Mohamed ‘Poboshy’ Bangura has made great success with the Stockholm side this season, last season Swedish Champions AIK confirmed the striker who scored in their match against Elfsborg last Sunday is allowed to leave in January if there is a good offer.
If AIK get a good bid and they want to sell me so I can imagine leaving, “Bangura told journalists in Sweden. Bangura this season has been on the rampage and of course not gone unnoticed by foreign clubs. If there is any interest, Bangura is willing to listen.
“Right now I’m an AIK player but the club will get a good bid and they want to sell me, am ready to listen to and I can imagine leaving,” said Bangura.
It would then mean that if he leaves he will not partner with fellow Sierra Leonean team mate Ibrahim ‘Tetteh’ Bangura in AIK’s attack next season. The club has of course already made the signing of Ibrahim ‘Tetteh’ Bangura, for next season.
However, a few weeks ago it was already reported that for contingency plans to save AIK financial status the fine goal getter will leave the Stockholm side. Other reports confirm that the player is now eyed by many European clubs. But earlier in September Egyptian champions Al Ahly requested the services of the new Leone Stars star striker and former hit man from local club FC Kallon.
Despite winning the gold medal last year and qualifying for the Champions League battle AIK is in severe financial trouble, the report stated. The player’s agent Patrick Mork few weeks ago stated Players must not become commodities.
Recently AIK is the latest in February to repay a loan of SKR 15 million and this will be a hard economic blow if the team falls out of the headlines.
