Kansas City striker and Sierra Leone hitman Kei Kamara has 10 goals to his name of all time in the Community America Ballpark (CAB), the leading scorer in the history of the stadium while the Wizards’ striker, Birahim Diop, has 5 at the CAB this season.
The only player in recent years to tribute Roger Milla, who was a three-time World Cup player for Cameroon, a forward who at the age of 38 enlivened the 1990 tournament in Italy with his gap-toothed grin and his hip-wiggling dances at the corner flag after each of his goals.
The Kansas City Wizard’s forward leaped into the air to head the rebound into the back of the Chivas USA net and said it was a virtual replay of one of the four goals Milla scored at Italia ’90, and Kamara celebrated it in fitting style, sprinting to the corner flag to doing the Milla dance.
The Wizards scored 25 goals at home this season, the most ever in a regular season at Community America Ballpark and the most at home since 2006, 10 of its goals from the Sierra Leonean international who was part of the Sierra Leone side that held the African champions to 1-1 in Cairo.
This is a great achievement for the fine goal getter and his fans can’t wait to see him in action again next season for the Wizards.
