Hopeless and reckless editor from South Africa
Mninawa Nloko (in photo) is a sport editor for South Africa Business Day newspapers who wrote an article in disrespecting and degrading our beloved country most especially our women, and I have been watching TV and reading news papers I heard some of the nonsense comments made by the so called sport journalist and editors about Sierra Leone, instead of them talking about soccer they get their lips concerned about the poverty in our country.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE RUBBISH THIS EDITOR WROTE ABOUT OUR COUNTRY AND OUR WOMEN
Hotel Bintumani which is run by the Chinese, according to him the Chinese claim this was the best and largest luxury accommodation in Freetown and we here privileged to be in the establishment, the shocking condition of the sheet in my room talks a very different story and it is anyone’s guess if the lines has been change recently.
Don’t even get me started about the condition of the towel my word we only manage to absorbed the full horror of our surrounding when the sun came up, and I have got to say the effect of the decade long civil war have ravage sierra Leone abundant poverty is everywhere, and it no wonder most women have become prostitute .
The currency –the Leone is not worth the paper it is printed on, our host from Sierra Leone Football Association had to empty the content of a big bag just to pay for our meals at a local restaurant, the hotel staff spent nearly 30 minutes counting stacks of money while we looked on amazed, the Bafana players kept to their rooms and made best of the situation.
We got our first glimpse of the Brookfields national stadium on Saturday afternoon and it is a small wonder that football governing body FIFA has banned the place, a few time in the grazing field in Tsomo mission are opulent in comparison to garbage patch that greeted us.
Thanks very much Mr Mninawa Nloko for degrading our country this way, but there are few things I will love to draw you and the world attention to.
MR Mninawa Nloko: Throughout my experience of traveling , South Africa it is a country where people have no respect for human life.
MR Mninawa Nloko: South Africa is a country that has no respect for both children and elders as most get raped before they reach the age of sixteen.
MR Mninawa Nloko : Throughout my experience the amount of poverty I have seen in your country is nowhere compare to our country, people feed on a loaf of bread a day.
MR Mninawa Nloko: The violent crime rate in South Africa more than 17,000 people are killed every year in violent related crimes.
MR Mninawa Nloko: The amount of prostitutes in the street is so much that the government has to legalize prostitution, in South Africa 60% of the children are born without fatherly care in Sierra Leone 99% of the children have who they can call father.
MR Mninawa Nloko : This is a country that has so much hatred for foreign nationals more than anywhere else in the world.
MR Mninawa Nloko: We all know that as a result of poverty xenophobia is visible everywhere in the country.
MR Mninawa Nloko: South Africa is a place where women don’t walk alone in the day and night for fear of being raped and killed.
MR Mninawa Nloko: In the 2008 over 60 foreign nationals were killed and some were born alive as result of xenophobic attack on foreign nationals.
MR Mninawa Nloko: South Africa is a country that has the highest H.I.V rate in the world over 5 million people are infected with H.I.V Aids that is almost Sierra Leone’s population.
In our country the HIV rate is relatively low as to compare to 5 million or more people in your country
MR Mninawa Nloko :South Africa is a country with a high rate of drug and alcohol abuse in Africa.
Please my MR Mninawa Nloko: I implore you to change your negative perception about others countries some of the things that happen in your country are so horrible that it will never happen in our countries ,so please clean up your closet before pointing fingers.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT MAKE US PROUDLY SIERRA LEONEANS DESPITE OUR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE STILL GIVE OPEN HANDS TO FOREIGNERS.
In Sierra Leone people walk around freely and go to bed without fear of been robbed or killed.
Your country claims to be free from apartheid but looking at the economic point of view, your country economy is still controlled by your oppressors all lands and farms belong to the white, that tells us that your country is not free it is a Mickey Mouse freedom.
You are brave to degrade and disrespect our women, in Sierra Leone our women are among the most respectable women in the world, most of them are married or in a committed relationship, they are not prostitutes. In South Africa women are worth R50. In South Africa the divorce rate is the highest in Africa .

I was shocked when I first read this article from Mninawa Nloko. Mninawa is not well traveled and is a shame to the association of honorable journalists in South Africa. Nloko must be out of his wits to say that it takes 36hrs to travel to Sierra Leone from Johannesburg.
It takes 15hrs to fly from Johannesburg to the US,and so what? I do not really care about travel time here, because if this half-baked journalist wanted to take 5 minutes to Lungi, he would have built a shuttle for himself.
The most insulting expression in Mninawa Nloko’s article is that most women are prostitutes in Sierra Leone. This sociopath either did not know why he was in Sierra Leone, never passed his English essays, or deliberately meant to insult our beautiful young ladies. SaLone girls, do not wear OVERSIZE pants because of obesity! Most women in South Africa do not even wear pants, you strip them and prove me right…Do not mention the odor that is emitted like the smoke from the emission of an old Bedford engine…. What would South Africans feel, if a Sierra Leonean journalist were to say that he was scared of a man like Nloko infecting Sierra Leoneans with either the most virulent form of TB or HIV that is known for South Africa during his visit? I bet he stands a chance of testing “positive”, THREE out of FIVE chances. I ask this chap to retract his article.
About 50,000 people died during the 10 year civil war in Sierra Leone, but 18,000 people are killed each year in South Africa( worst than a civil war). The Bafana Bafana coach might be paid $100,000 a month, our coach is paid a meager $1000, but we are still unbeaten by Bafana Bafana in three consecutive matches. What a shame !
Note mister Nloko, by insulting our currency as……, we shall make you eat shit if you ever visit Sierra Leone again. May you ever visit West Africa again, you will meet ladies that will remind you about your NASTY article written by a half-baked pen pusher.
For the rest of South Africans that you-Nloko- do not represent, I “hang” my pen until further notice.

You are a patriot my dear brother thank you for that response. I was in South Africa for two weeks and that’s where I saw human beings living in boxes (boxes from warehouses in sierra Leone we call those boxes “CARTOONS” ). It is a pity for him to open his mouth on Sierra Leone. This is what we know in Sierra Leone, when you point your finger at people remember that all the FOUR is coming back to you. Over there even Women can rape men

Mr. Worneh:
This was an excellent response to the South African sport’s editor, Mninawa Nloko.
In addition, Nloko should understand that Sierra Leoneans welcome every one with courtesy, politeness, respect and dignity.
That every Sierra Leonean will not hesitate to share the little he/she has to a perfect stranger at all times.
That Sierra Leoneans genetic makeups have no place against anyone (no alien phobia).
That Sierra Leoneans always accommodate all with respect and dignity.
For writing negatives about our female Sierra Leonean folks, we have now come to know the respect he has for South African women.
And Nloko must understand that some of us have visited South Africa many many times; and I therefore rests my case.
