Which means they need to improve in that area when the two sides meet on Sunday! He made this known to journalist in Johannesburg just before his squad’s departure to Freetown.
The former player is one of the longest serving and highly-rated coaches in South African soccer having won several major trophies with Supersport United in recent years is also disappointed with the Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar withdrawal from the Bafana Bafana squad to face Sierra Leone, while his captain Aaron Mokoena has a mild groin strain after helping his English championship side to a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough, however Pitso has pointed out the need to score goals in their next encounter which happen to be against Leone stars in their home soil.
Pitso added that his side created a slew of goal scoring opportunities but failed to convert many of those chances into goals. He reckons the missed opportunities might come back to haunt Bafana in the latter stages of the qualifiers.
“We have achieved our objective by winning our opening game. We hope to stay at the top of the group to do that we most we in Freetown.
“Truly speaking, it is not going to be an easy encounter but we must stay focused in Freetown, we will have to be patient and used our experience and maturity up front.
We will achieve those goals. I think this team is maturing well and the confidence is coming back,” Mosimane said.
