“We’ll protect Sierra Leone’s territorial boundaries” says Army Chief

Military Chief, Major General R.Y. Koroma (in photo), last week revealed to cross sections of press men his intention to protect the territorial waters of Sierra Leone.

At the conference room of Information Ministry, the newly appointed Army Chief called on stakeholders of society to join him in the enhancement of a better security service for all.

In his statement, he, at a fast pace, assured Sierra Leoneans that the Army under his dispensation will concentrate on full scale monitoring of the boundaries and waters of Sierra Leone.

“I will make sure that borders of this country are protected to the fullest,” the Army CDS lamented.

He also promised to follow directives as stated in the mission statement of the Army.

The Army CDS insists on having personnel down sized to enable government meet its obligation in the enhancement of adequate and better provision for serving soldiers.

“The Army, unlike other state institutions, never enjoyed better terms and conditions of service for its personnel,” words of the CDS.

He therefore informed the media that he will go all out in ensuring that serving personnel of the Army gets better terms and conditions of service.
