According to the project coordinator, Joseph B Abu, the workshop is aimed at finding a remedy to issues bordering on the welfare of children and young people residents in Freetown.

He said the workshop targets school children, university students and youths in tertiary institutions.

He further said that the workshop creates a forum whereby participants come up with remedial solutions in the tackling of violence in their respective communities and work places.

The Public Relations Officer came up with a very strong concern on issues of violence among the youths.

He referred to rendezvous of youths such as palm wine bars, ghettos and other places as areas notorious for acts of violence.

A participant, Madieu Kabbah, said he sees the workshop as having the propensity of changing young people.
